Nassja is a Moroccan rug brand devoted to these pieces. We work with local Moroccan artisans to bring handmade Moroccan rugs to homes around the world, so that the people who live with them can see and feel the craftsmanship behind each one.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring handmade Moroccan rugs to homes around the world without losing what makes them meaningful: the skill of the people who make them, the character of the craft, and the individuality of each piece.

We believe choosing a rug should be more personal than choosing a color and a size. A rug becomes part of daily life. It is underfoot in the morning, it anchors a living room, and it softens a bedroom. It deserves to be chosen with care, and to be understood for what it is: something made by hand, by someone with real skill.

Our Story

Nassja was founded by Ilyass Errahaoui, out of a deep appreciation for Moroccan rugs and the craftsmanship behind them.

For Ilyass, these rugs were never just decorative objects. They were expressions of skill, patience, and a way of making that deserves to be seen and valued. He also saw that many people around the world were drawn to Moroccan rugs but had few ways to find authentic handmade pieces, or to understand how they were made.

Nassja was created to change that. Operating from Morocco and working with local Moroccan artisans, the brand connects the craftsmanship behind each rug with the people and homes that will live with it. The goal is simple and personal: to share this part of Morocco with the world, carefully and honestly, one rug at a time.

Every Nassja rug is handmade, and its handmade nature can be seen in the finished piece.

Because each rug is woven by hand rather than produced by machine, you may notice subtle variations in its weave, texture, dimensions, pattern, shape, or color. A line may shift slightly, a tone may deepen from one area to the next, or an edge may follow its own gentle course.

These are not defects. They are natural characteristics of handmade work and visible traces of the person who made the rug. They are a large part of what gives a handmade Moroccan rug its warmth and individuality.

Our Ready-to-Ship collection features completed handmade Moroccan rugs that are already available and ready to make their way to you. Each listing shows the rug as it is, so you can see its colors, pattern, size, and character before choosing it for your home.

Custom & Made-to-Order Rugs

If you have particular dimensions or requirements in mind, you can request a rug made to your agreed specifications. We will work with you to understand what you need, whether that is a size for a specific room or a direction for color and design, and the rug will then be handmade by a local Moroccan artisan.

Because it is made entirely by hand, your finished rug will closely follow the agreed specifications while naturally carrying subtle handmade variations. These small differences are part of what makes a made-to-order rug genuinely handcrafted.
